it’s official May 2, 2007

so, today it became public knowledge that my career as a child protective services caseworker is officially over.  at least, it will be in about a month when i finish transferring my families and transition into my new position.  hurrah!  it’s been a wonderful, crazy, intense five+ years in casework, but i’m absolutely ready to move on. i’m going to be an “aftercare specialist,” which means that when families with a closed case need some help or referrals, they’ll call me for assistance.  so, things are looking up.  less responsibility, more flexibility, more emotional energy for my internship.  times, they are a’changin’…
